Established in the year 2017, the school is promoted by a group of educationists who studied and have been associated with IIT Kharagpur for the last 3 decades.
Griffins International School stands as the embodiment of the vision and aspirations of our esteemed Chairman, Mr. Abishek Kumar Yadav. His relentless pursuit of excellence, insatiable thirst for knowledge, and boundless enthusiasm for embracing innovation are the defining traits of his leadership. It is both a privilege and an honor to work under the guidance of such an inspiring and visionary management.
I am truly delighted to lead this dynamic and future-focused organization and to share an overview of the school’s achievements and milestones for the year 2023-24.
Let me begin with a quote by – Miguel del Toro, Maryland
“I think about how we can provide what we would want for our own children and what will continue to set our students up for success. We can’t negotiate with that.”

Let me begin with a quote by – Jessica Nauiokas
“Students remember their relationships. They remember the people who believed in them. They remember developing new skills and having confidence in those skills.”

This ISO standard focuses on the Education Management Systems of an educational organization. Further, GIS has renewed the ISO certification this year.
In the same breath, I would like to share how our techies made us proud by bagging the All over winner in Tinker Fest 2023, 1st runner up in CBSE National Coding Challenge. Allow me to share the kind of flavour these competitions have, both in coding and robotics, human expertise and software ace the competition.

Let us have a glimpse of our journey so far. School
Annual report 2023-24.
In a special Assembly on 6th May 2023, the young students of the school were entrusted with the responsibility of playing an active role in leading the school from the front. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Sri Girish Kumar, decorated 14 student council members in a formal Investiture Ceremony. The students were elected in a democratic three-week electoral process based on their competence and commitment towards fellow students and the school.
There was something very stark about these elections. The Head Boy Deborshi and the Head Girl Adrija won by huge margins, defeating their opponents by around 700 votes. This is a perfect example of experiential learning, where students get to experience the electoral process every year in school.
Taking teaching outside classrooms Special Assemblies are arranged to explore the latent potential of our students.
There is a long list of such assemblies and days organized in the school.
Rabindra Jayanti, Gandhi Jayanti, World Gratitude Day, Durga Puja, Janmashatami, Ambedkar Jayanti. (event list will be displayed)
Events and Celebrations: Celebrations are an important part of Indian culture and heritage. This helps us connect our children with their roots. This year our children celebrated Independence Day with complete patriotic fervour Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day are just a few of the gamut of activities which are part of the school calendar.
The annual Sports Meet was held on 27th January 2023. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Shri Abhishek Kumar Yadav. The Annual School trophy was lifted by Hawk House.
An age-old adage WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE is brought to life at our primary wing. Thematic assemblies, celebrations, educational excursions, role plays, show and tell, and toy-based learning are the various teaching pedagogies and methodologies used to make the learning process enjoyable.
STAR OF THE WEEK activity is a regular feature of our primary wing. We invite parents of around 15 odd kids once a week and students perform in front of their classmates. This is an activity of confidence building. In total 27 visits throughout the year with 298 students of Grade I and II participated.
We appreciate the support and trust of the parents for all the achievements of our toddlers in the primary wing.
GIS is a growing organization and strongly believes in up gradation of teachers and students through a plethora of training programs and workshops.
At GIS teachers get various opportunities to upgrade themselves through diverse training programs from subject-specific workshops to sessions that keep them upgraded with the latest trends in the field of education. Here is a list of workshops attended by our teachers, to summarize, 15 CBSE trainings and 25 other in-house trainings.
PTA-Parent Teacher Association is a school-based organization, where parents’ teachers and school administrators partner together to make school a better place to learn.
Further, Constitution of Parent Teacher’s association is a yearly routine at Griffins. One parent representative from each grade is elected in a democratic process.
Generally, we meet twice in an academic year to discuss ideas to better the educational experience of a child in the school and address concerns of the parents.
Here is the list of PTA members for the academic year 2023-24. The same was dissolved in July 2024 and the new one with newly elected members was constituted. (list will be displayed)
This evening is not only about cultural extravaganza but also to put on records the hard work of children in academics and co-curricular program.
Since we run our school with a roaring strength, it is a very fierce competition amongst students be it in academics, field of sports or performing arts. Children who manage to reach the top layer truly excel in that area.
Felicitating the winners and achievers today truly inspires all of us. Students who miss the award by a narrow margin I wish them luck and genuinely appreciate the efforts and hard work put in. We salute the efforts and indomitable spirit of all the students who help us raise the bar of performance with every passing year.
Apart from the awardees of Grade 10 and 12, today 60 students will be commended for the academic achievements, excellence in co-scholastic areas and 100% attendance.

73 students were beneficiaries of this scheme The genesis of such a philanthropic and encouraging gesture lies with our Chairman Mr. Abishek Kumar Yadav.
The school Management started Boys’ boarding house from session 2022-23 with a thought process of providing students with programs and activities that involve exploration. Making friends is paramount and success is celebrated.
Currently, we have around 55 students on board from grades 4 to 12. Parents are allowed to opt for a weekly boarding facility wherein a child gets to spend the weekend with parents. Most of the boys with us are staying in a hostel for the first time. So, parents come with a lot of skepticism. I have seen their apprehensions fade away in a month.
The kind of all-round development programs that we offer include weekend hobby classes- gardening, music, art, and School Cinema. To make learning experiential and hands-on we organise quarterly educational trips to places of historical relevance and also have an element of adventure. All these activities help them become self-dependent.
As a principal, I keep hearing from parents about the kind of distraction the mobiles/gadgets are in the lives of students. At the hostel, we offer a gadget-free environment and motivate them to stay focused and goal-oriented in student life. There is no denying that this is the real achievement we have with these boys.
Competitive exams like Olympiads, VVM, JEE, and NEET are not just about knowledge, they demand strategy, time management, and a profound understanding of the exam pattern. This could not be achieved in school as the diverse structure of the classroom doesn’t permit.
We decided to catch them young via the Integrated School Program at GRIFFINS ACADEMY. At the foundational level, we coach students of grades VI to X. This is done to expose students to well-designed study plans and help them develop a mindset of a JEE, NEET aspirant once they reach grade 11.
The students who pursued this two-year program came out with flying colours. Tanay Jhawar, Sounit Bose, Saksham Kanodia, Subhanu Dhar, Rajat Subhra Mahata, Yash, and Hamiswasia are our JEE achievers. Rohini Sadhu and Lucy Kedia are our NEET qualifiers.
We are very hopeful of more such stupendous performances of our students.
Various researches show that most of the career options of today will not be very relevant in the decades to come. So, it is very important to match flux with these changing times and make career guidance to students a mandatory activity in our school as it provides professional guidance to students to choose the right career path depending upon their aptitude, skill, and interest.
Our third batch of Grade 12 batch with 76 students have made us proud. We can boast of their placement in top-ranking universities in India and abroad.
Trishnika Sen- IIT Kharagpur Electrical Engineering, Sneha Mishra- BIT Mesra Mathematics and Computing, Adrija Misra- IISER Trivandrum, Anmol Dubey- RICE University (USA), Janvi Kaur- Lassale College, Canada Business Management, Anwesha Gupta- HNLU, Raipur.

This year, I had the privilege of joining this remarkable institution, and what truly attracted me to this school were the incredible achievements it has garnered over the past seven years, along with the immense potential and exciting challenges that lie ahead. The growth, the commitment to excellence, and the vision for the future were all aspects that drew me in, and I am honored to be part of this journey as we continue to build on these successes.
The Annual Report we just presented highlights the achievements and milestones of the year gone by. But behind every number, every award, and every achievement, there are countless individuals whose commitment and passion have made all this possible. And it is to my team of 116 teachers, 25 administrative and support staff that I owe my deepest gratitude today.
I am truly grateful to our parents and grandparents for entrusting their children to the care of the GIS team. Your trust and belief in us have been instrumental in helping us elevate this school from good to great. With your continued support and guidance, I am confident that even greater achievements lie ahead.
Before I conclude, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge that today’s program has been carried out on the shoulders of 550 participants. This remarkable turnout is a true testament to their enthusiasm, dedication, and spirit. It’s heartening to see such active involvement, and it fills me with pride to know that every student has contributed to making this event a memorable one.
As we celebrate our achievements and look to the future, let us remember the wise words of Nelson Mandela:
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
Thank you, everyone. May God bless us all!” Let us enjoy the cultural extravagance prepared by our students…
